Our Mom's Story

My mom came to America when she was 19. She grew up during the Vietnam War and her family escaped when the North took over. Growing up, she would tell me and my brothers the story of her escape and the struggles she faced. She told us that she’s spent her entire life moving away from the pain of her past. But my mom is resilient - and was brave enough to confront her past head on with me and my family. This is her story.
